Introduction to Tianhou Temple in Cijin: Tianhou Temple in Cijin is called Mazu Temple and Mazu Palace by the local people. The temple was built in the 12th year of Kangxi reign of the Qing Dynasty (AD 1673). It is very popular and is the first Mazu temple in Kaohsiung. The rich historical and cultural significance was approved by the government as a third-level historic site in the 68th year of the Republic of China (1979 AD).
