Introduction to Golden Summit: Jiangyang Qujie, the founder of Drepung Monastery, was born in the Samye region of Shannan, Tibet. He was diligent and studious since he was a child. Later, he became a disciple of Tsongkhapa and specialized in Buddhist classics. He eventually became a famous figure who was proficient in Buddhist sutra and tantric classics. . In order to further promote the Gelug Sect, Master Tsongkhapa asked him to build a large-scale temple and gave him a right-handed conch symbolizing auspiciousness. Therefore, with the strong support of Langgasang in Neiwu Zongben ("Zong" was the organizational structure equivalent to the county level in old Tibet. "Zongben" was the local official sent by the original Tibetan local government to each sect to be in charge of the local administration), Langgasang Construction of Drepung Monastery began in 1416. After the completion of Drepung Monastery, Jiangyang Qujie and Tashi Bandan served as the first power platform (Chiba), and the temple's power platform lasted for a total of 23 times.
