Introduction to the Cuoqin Hall: The Cuoqin Hall ("Tsoqen" means the Great Dharma Hall) is the main building of Drepung Monastery. The Tsoqen Hall is located in the center of Drepung Monastery, covering an area of nearly 4,500 square meters. There is a stone-paved square in front of the hall, and there are 17 wide stone steps to reach the open corridor with eight columns. The sutra hall in the main hall is large in scale, gorgeously decorated and colorful. The Sutra Hall covers an area of about 1,800 square meters and has a total of 183 pillars. The statues in the main hall, whether in the main hall or the side hall, are extremely vivid. The large Manjusri statue and the white umbrella statue in the middle of the main hall are extremely exquisite. Here is the main religious object of Drepung Monastery - the right-handed conch. This is a conch dug out by Tsongkhapa from the "Dharma Storehouse of Kobu Mountain" when Drepung Monastery was built. He gave it to his disciple Tashi Bandan, wishing him a complete success in building the temple and using it as a base. Promote Buddhism and build temples extensively. Disciple Tashi Bandan respected it as a temple treasure given by the Buddha and kept it in the temple. Behind the main hall is the pure room where Tashi Bandan practiced.
