Introduction to the USS Constitution: The USS Constitution (U.S.S. Constitution) docked at the Charleston Navy Yard is the oldest warship currently in service in the world. The USS Constitution was named by George Washington himself to commemorate the US Constitution. It has been in service for 200 years since it was launched in 1797. It is nicknamed "Old Ironsides".
