Introduction to the murals in the library of the National Autonomous University of Mexico: The outer wall of the library of the National Autonomous University of Mexico is painted with the largest mural in Mexico. The famous painter O'Gorman painted the progress and struggle of mankind. The National Autonomous University Library is a 10-story building. The entire building is decorated with huge colorful murals on the outside, all made of one-centimeter-square colorful mosaics. The south side of the building is the entrance to the library. The murals here depict the Western influence on Mexico, the Spanish conquest of Mexico, and the Sun Center theory; the murals on the north side show the Indian society before Spanish colonization, the foundation of ancient Mexico City, and Indian legends. The god who dominates life and death is in the middle; the mural on the east reflects the Mexican Revolution and the changes in life in modern society; on the west is the logo of the National Autonomous University.
