Introduction to the Boboli Gardens: The Boboli Gardens were built in 1565. After the Medici family bought the Pitti Palace, they specially built this Baroque style garden on the high Boboli Hill behind the courtyard. The landscape, hills and gardens together form the back barrier of the Pitti Palace building.
