Bell Tower Introduction: The bell tower attached to Palazzo Vecchio is in Gothic style and is 94 meters high. It was used to call public gatherings and serve as an alarm in the event of fire, flood or enemy attack. The large mechanical clockmaker sculpture on the tower has the oral inscription of Cosimo I in 1551. On the left side of the building is the "Fountain of Poseidon" by Amanati.
