Introduction to Lenin’s Mausoleum: Lenin’s Mausoleum is located on the west side of Red Square. It was built on January 27, 1924. It was originally a wooden structure and was constructed of granite and marble in 1930. Half of the tomb chamber is underground and half is exposed above the ground.
