Introduction to the Latin Bridge: The Latin Bridge can be said to be the most representative bridge in the entire city and the most famous of the only six remaining bridges on the Milia River. It was here that Archduke Fernandi and his wife, Crown Prince of Austria-Hungary, were assassinated by Serbian patriot Princip, triggering the outbreak of World War I; this incident became known as the "Sarajevo Incident". Today, there is still a monument under the bridge, and the bridge has been renamed "Princip Bridge".
