Introduction to Shennongding: The main peak of Shennongjia covers an area of about 2 square kilometers and has an altitude of 3105.4 meters. It is called the "No. 1 Peak in Central China". Because it is said that the Shennong family tasted herbs here, Shennongding was called "Shennong Mountain" in the "Xingshan County Chronicle" of the Qing Dynasty. It was also known as the "Wood City" because of the vast forests in the mountain, which were as dense as city walls. There were clusters of arrow bamboos and firs on the top of the mountain. There are many trees, colorful azalea leaves and evergreen all year round. Ancient folk also called it "Four Seasons Mountain".
