Introduction to the cruiser Aurora: The cruiser Aurora («Аврора»крейсер)) was originally a warship of the Baltic Fleet of Tsarist Russia. On November 7, 1917, the ship was anchored on the Neva River in Petrograd. The officers and soldiers on the ship followed Lenin's instructions and shelled the Winter Palace of the bourgeois provisional government. The cruiser Aurora is 124 meters long and 16.8 meters wide. It has been in service since 1903. "Avole" means "dawn" or "twilight".
