Introduction to the beacon tower: The Fengjia Tuo Beacon Tower is located near the entrance of the Sigou Gorge. It is surrounded by mountains and rivers and stands majestically. It is backed by Wangjiashan Mountain on the ancient Silk Road and faces the ancient ferry lotus platform. It is one of the 23 beacon towers in the west of the county. The most majestic, tallest and most complete one in existence in Taichung.
There is a trapezoidal city wall around the beacon tower, which is 38.5 meters long, 25.5 meters wide and 8 meters high. The city wall is 2.7 meters wide. There is a pier in the center of the city wall, which is a cone and is integrated with the city wall. The pier is 10 meters long, 8.5 meters wide, and the wall is 17 meters high. The top of the platform is round and 5 meters in diameter. The city platform is entirely built of loess, and each rammed layer is 20 centimeters thick. According to this, it can be concluded that it is a building before the Ming Dynasty.
