Introduction to the Church of San Giorgio Maggiore: The Church of San Giorgio Maggiore was built in the mid-16th century and completed in 1610. From the elevator in the church, you can go directly to the top of the bell tower, from which you can overlook the beautiful scenery from Giutica Island to St. Mark's Square on the other side.
