Introduction to the Martin Drum Tower: The Martin Drum Tower is located in Tianxin Village, Pingyang Township, Tongdao Dong Autonomous County. It is a unique building of the Dong people and a special symbol of the Dong Village. The Drum Tower was first built in the Shunzhi period of the Qing Dynasty. It is a square wooden two-story pavilion with nine floors and eight columns. The eaves board and the beams inside the building are painted with folk paintings. Each eaves corner is decorated with reliefs of animals. There is a fire pit on the ground floor and wooden benches around it. The front of the second floor has a movable board wall that can double as a stage.
