Introduction to the Red Gate Fort: The West Courtyard, commonly known as the Red Gate Fort, was built during the Qianlong period. It has 88 large and small courtyards, 776 houses, and a total area of 25,000 square meters.
The overall layout of the Hongmenbao building complex not only hides the word "king" but also has the shape of a dragon. In addition to the courtyard with front hall and back bedroom, in order to adapt to the geographical conditions, part of it has been transformed into a front garden and a backyard. , because some courtyards were built in the early Qianlong period, their decorations are delicate and dense but appear simple and rough, close to the style of the Ming Dynasty.
The Chinese Wang Family Museum, Calligraphy and Painting Hall, Treasure Hall, Zhuoju Teahouse, Wangjia Vinegar Factory, Tofu Factory and the "National Shanxi Merchants Guild Hall Photo Exhibition" in the Red Gate Fort are now open to visitors.
