Introduction to Tieyaping: Tieyaping is a flat land in the mountains with an area of about 60 acres. It is one of the thirty-six pings of Wuxie and is named in memory of Yang Tieya.
Yang Tieya, formerly known as Yang Weizhen, was a writer in the late Yuan Dynasty. He was a Jinshi scholar and a member of the entire Tang Dynasty in Zhuji. He once served as the governor of Tiantai Prefecture. Because he was good at playing the iron flute, he was also called the Iron Flute Taoist. His poems, especially the ancient style and Yuefu style, are strange and changeable, and are known as Tieya style. He was the leader of the poetry circle in the late Yuan Dynasty. Yang Tieya liked to travel around mountains and rivers, and came to Wuxiejiemao to live in seclusion in the second year of Hongwu (1369).
Tieyaping is surrounded by lush trees, elegant environment, cool climate and sweet air. It is a good place for recuperation, summer vacation and camping.
