Introduction to the Kennedy Arts Center: The construction of the John F. Kennedy Arts Center began in 1966 and was officially opened on September 8, 1971. Located in the northwest of Washington, DC, the capital of the United States, next to the Watergate Building and facing the water on the other side, the landscape is very beautiful. This white, square building has a double meaning for the United States. First, it is a national cultural center. Since President Eisenhower, it has been planned to establish such a national cultural center. Secondly, it is named after US President Kennedy to commemorate the young assassinated president; for more than 10 years, the Kennedy Center for the Arts has occupied a pivotal position in the American cultural world.
