Exhibition introduction: Chen Ce, 1893-1949, courtesy name Chiu Shuo, was born in Wenchang, Guangdong (now part of Hainan). He was a vice admiral of the Navy of the Republic of China and a famous general of the Guangdong Fleet of the Chinese Kuomintang Navy. He once assisted Sun Yat-sen in his fight against Chen Jiongming in Guangzhou. During the war, he was injured and had one of his legs amputated. He was known as the "One-legged General". When the Japanese army occupied Hong Kong, Chen Ce led dozens of British troops to successfully break through and was awarded the Knight Commander of the Imperial Order by the King.
