Introduction to Ripple Lake: Ripple Lake began with a major flood in the 51st year of Qianlong’s reign in the Qing Dynasty (1786). The accumulated water did not recede and turned into a lake, commonly known as Hou'ao. In 1992, it was renamed Ripple Lake. There are large lotus flowers in the lake. In midsummer, the fragrance is overwhelming and the scenery is like a Buddhist painting.
