Introduction to the Pagoda Forest: The Zen Master Pagoda Forest is the burial place for the monks of Shengli Temple after their death. It first appeared in the Ming Dynasty and continues to this day. Dozens of pagodas are scattered around the temple and nunnery, concentrated on the hillside of Bieyunfeng Peak. The base, body and surround of these towers are all made of finely ground light green shale. The body of the tower adopts the form of a pavilion, with 6 sides, 3 floors and overhanging eaves.
