Introduction to Shigu Temple: Located at the foot of Baihe Peak, the main peak of Wugong Mountain in Pingxiang, it was formerly known as Shigu Temple, also known as Buddha Temple. The original nunnery was built in the Yanyou period of the Yuan Dynasty (1314-1320), which has a history of 700 years. Legend has it that Emperor Qianlong went down to the south of the Yangtze River and came to the Buddha's nunnery at the foot of Wugong Mountain. He hit the stone three times with a wooden stick, making three deafening drum sounds. Qianlong was overjoyed and said: "Stone can be used as a drum, which is rare in the world." So it was named "Shigu Temple".
