Introduction to Jijiazui: According to "Hankou Congtan": In the first year of Jiajing in the Ming Dynasty (1552), the crown prince Zhu Houyi set out from Zhongxiang and went to Beijing to inherit the throne. Therefore, later generations called this ferry where the emperor passed by "Jijiazui". "Jijiazui" was later renamed "Jijiazui" because the wharf here was mostly used for transporting grain.
