Introduction to Jingchu Xiongfeng Stele: This stele was engraved in the 35th year of Qianlong’s reign in the Qing Dynasty (1770 AD) and was written by Li Ba, the observer envoy to Jingnan. The inscription is intended to praise the people of Jingchu for their tenacious fighting spirit against the floods.
