Introduction to the Department of Engineering: The Department of Engineering of Wuhan University is located at the site of the original Wuhan University of Water Conservancy and Electric Power, which was founded in December 1954. The subjects offered are mainly engineering subjects such as water conservancy and hydropower. In 2000, Wuhan University of Water Conservancy and Electric Power, together with Wuhan University, Wuhan University of Surveying and Mapping Technology, Hubei Medical University merged to form a new Wuhan University, the main part of which is now the Department of Engineering of Wuhan University.
