Shuang Toad Tingqing introduction: There are two stones here, shaped like toads, these are the Shuang Toad Stones. There is a legend about the origin of the Double Toad Stone. When the gate of Wulei Temple first opened, many good men and women came to burn incense. But the mountain road is rugged and walking is very inconvenient. So the people spontaneously came to Wulei Mountain to build roads. Those who had money and strength contributed their efforts. This road is the one that comes from Shiqiutou. But just halfway through the repair, two toad spirits were alarmed. The two toad spirits, a male and a female, were originally restless and wanted to harm one of them. When they saw so many people building the road, they sprayed out their venom. For a time, these road builders were poisoned and fell down. The protector god Wei Tuo had a fierce battle with the toad spirit, but failed to win. Naluoyan was so anxious that he had no choice but to go to Putuo Mountain in the South China Sea to ask Guanyin Bodhisattva to come and subdue the demon. After Guanyin Bodhisattva came, he saw that there were too many poisoned people, so he sprinkled the nectar from the pure bottle all over the place. After a while, these poisoned people came to life. From then on, the special sweetness of the spring in Wulei Mountain was transformed from the pure bottle nectar of Guanyin Bodhisattva. In order to completely cure the trouble, Guanyin Bodhisattva took out two more elixirs and flicked them into the air. I saw thousands of glowing lights for a while, and the whole world was filled with joy. Two toads came out and saw two colorful beads in the sky. Knowing they were treasures, they went to snatch them and keep them for themselves. Guanyin Bodhisattva originally wanted to use two reassuring pills to reshape the toad spirit and achieve positive results. Unexpectedly, the toad spirit thought it was the elixir of immortality and swallowed it in one gulp. Guanyin Bodhisattva went to stop him, but it was too late. After swallowing it, the toad spirit felt uncomfortable all over, so he went to the Tianchi of Zangyun River to find water to drink. This reassurance pill cannot be eaten. After drinking the water, the toad spirit will no longer be able to move. Until now, I can only lie there, unable to move, listening to the morning bells and evening drums of Wulei Temple every day. This has been done for many years, forming a spectacle of two toads listening to the chime.
