Introduction to site classification: Daxi cultural sites can be divided into upper and lower layers based on soil quality, soil color, types of pottery and stone tools included, burial styles and funerary objects. Archaeologists determined that the upper layer was from the late Daxi site and the lower layer was from the early Daxi site. The discovery of early and late tombs reflects the huge changes in the nature of society. Its early stage was the prosperous stage of matrilineal clan communes, and its late stage was the embryonic stage of patrilineal clan communes. Therefore, its discovery provides extremely precious historical materials for studying the social and economic conditions of the Neolithic Age.
