Introduction to the Pingxingguan Battle Site: The Pingxingguan Battle Site is located near Fanzhi County and in the Xiqiaogou area of Lingqiu County. It is named after it is about 5 kilometers away from Pingxingguan, an ancient Great Wall pass. The site is square in shape, with a circumference of more than 3,000 meters, and a gate in the north and south. There used to be Wengcheng in the north and south, but now only the Wengcheng in the north remains. In 1937, Lin Biao and Nie Rongzhen commanded the Eighth Route Army to achieve the first major victory in the Anti-Japanese War here.
