Introduction to Su Shutang: Su Shutang means reading to help the poor, reading good books, and seeking fame and glory for the ancestors. This was the place where books were collected and studied. As a boy, Qian Mu often read a large number of books left by his predecessors in Su Shutang, which laid a good cultural foundation. The Sushu Building where he later lived in Taiwan was also named after this, with his nostalgia for his hometown and his mother evident in his words.
