Introduction to Wuzhen West Temple: Wuzhen West Temple is opposite Shuilu Temple in Lantian County. It was an integral part of Wuzhen Temple of Jingzong when Buddhism flourished in the Sui and Tang Dynasties. It was named Wuzhen Lower Temple, which is actually the lower courtyard of Wuzhen Temple. It was first built in the first year of Emperor Wen of the Sui Dynasty (AD 581) by the famous monk Jingye Huichao. It was expanded by Shandao, the founder of the Pure Land Sect in the Tang Dynasty, and the famous monk Facheng, and it became a famous temple that accommodates more than a thousand monks. . The current Wu Zhenxia Temple was rebuilt in 2000 and renamed Wu Zhen West Temple, with a total area of more than 30 acres. The Pure Land Sect of Japanese Buddhism still regards this place as a holy place. Bai Juyi, the great poet of the Tang Dynasty, once visited Wuzhen Temple for five days and nights and never returned. He wrote a long poem "Visiting Wuzhen Temple", describing the grand occasion and humanistic anecdotes of Wuzhen Temple at that time.
