Introduction to Mazu Temple: The Mazu Temple on Wuzhizhou Island was built in the Guangxu period of the Qing Dynasty (1893 AD). It was originally a "three temples on the sea" dedicated to Cangjie, the creator of Chinese characters. It was later destroyed over time and was used by fishermen. Dedicated to Mazu, the patron saint of navigation.
