Introduction to the sacrificial ruins: From 2002 to 2005, during the archaeological cleaning of the wall base of the new ruins protection hall, the remains of these sacrificial activities were accidentally discovered. New discoveries tell us that people in the Banpo period used methods such as standing stones, burning fires, and burying symbolic pottery to perform sacrifices, and several tombs were also discovered in the distribution area of the sacrificial remains. Is lighting a bonfire worshiping the sky and thanking the sun and rain? Perhaps burying the fruits of labor is a sacrifice to the earth, praying for a good harvest and peace? Since the Neolithic period, the custom of worshiping heaven and earth has appeared in Banpo and everywhere.
