Introduction to Gezong Mountain: Balagezong Mountain is the sacred mountain of Shangri-La. It is known as the "Top of Shangri-La" and is one of the three sacred mountains in the Kham region. It is shaped like the pictographic character "mountain", reaching straight into the sky; the peak of the mountain is like a thorn, reaching straight into the sky. According to the old man, Gezong Snow Mountain is also called "Gezong Bensong", which means the three sisters of Gezong.
