Yi Yang Pavilion Introduction: Yi Yang Pavilion was built in memory of Yang Shi, a famous minister and Neo-Confucian scholar in the Northern Song Dynasty. Yang Shi (1053-1135), whose courtesy name was Zhongli and whose name was Guishan, was born in Jiangle, Fujian. In the ninth year of Song Xining's reign, he became a Jinshi, and in the second year of Zhenghe (1112), he supplemented the Xiaoshan Order. At that time, there were frequent droughts and floods in the farmland around the county. Yang Shi led the people to build a lake, which became more than 37,000 acres and was named Xiang Lake. It benefited Jiuxiang and future generations. Yang Shi is also the protagonist in the allusion of the idiom "Cheng Men Li Xue". His touching story of respecting teachers and respecting morality will be remembered throughout the ages.
