Introduction to the Heavenly King's Hall: The Heavenly King's Hall, also known as the Maitreya Hall, is the first important hall in the Buddhist temple. There is a statue of Maitreya in the middle of the hall, the statues of the four heavenly kings on the left and right, and the statue of Wei Tuotian on the back. Hence the name. The Tianwang Hall was originally seen in Pure Land sect temples, and Chinese Zen sect does not originally worship Maitreya. However, after the Song Dynasty, Chinese Buddhism began to practice both Zen and Purity, and the Temple of the Heavenly King began to appear in most Chinese temples.
