Introduction to the site: In 2002, the archaeological discovery of the ancient city of Liye during the Warring States period was called by experts "the most important discovery in Chinese archeology since the 21st century" and was also rated as "one of the six major archaeological discoveries in the country in 2002" . The current ruins of the ancient city were built at the excavation site.
