Introduction to the Bell and Drum Towers: In ancient times, the Bell and Drum Towers were mainly used to tell the time, and sometimes also for etiquette. During the war, the soldiers and generals would be guided by the bells of the Bell and Drum Towers for everything from training, drills, expeditions, to rest. The Bell and Drum Tower in the Chibi Ancient Battlefield is divided into two floors: the upper floor is where bells and drums are struck, so that the bells can be heard farther. The lower level is a place where sergeants are stationed and rested. It can also protect the Bell and Drum Tower to prevent idlers from beating the bells and drums and disturbing the time.
