Introduction to General Yang Hucheng: Yang Hucheng (November 26, 1893 - September 6, 1949), one of the 100 heroic model figures who made outstanding contributions to the founding of New China. He participated in the Pucheng Uprising, resisted the Qing Dynasty, petitioned Yuan Hufa, moved to Guanzhong, defended Xi'an, went on the Northern Expedition, returned to Shaanxi to take charge, was forced into civil war, called for the Anti-Japanese War, and was one of the initiators of the "Xi'an Incident" that shocked China and foreign countries. Later, due to conflicts with the central government, he secretly contacted the Red Army and encouraged Zhang Xueliang to launch the "Double Twelve Incident" to arrest Chiang Kai-shek and was imprisoned for twelve years. On September 6, 1949, he was killed at Dai Gongci of the Sino-US Cooperation Institute in Chongqing for being the mastermind of the armed mutiny. He was fifty-six years old.
