Introduction to the Three Thousand Painted Terracotta Warriors and Horses of the Western Han Dynasty: The fifth and sixth exhibition halls are home to the three thousand painted Terracotta Warriors and Horses of the Western Han Dynasty, which are famous both at home and abroad. They are majestic and mighty, fully reflecting the powerful military power of the Western Han Dynasty. In August 1965, they were unearthed from the burial pit of the Changling Tomb of the Han Dynasty in Yangjiawan, Xianyang. They were the earliest large-scale terracotta warriors and horses discovered in my country. The cavalry formed by it form six square formations, including armored cavalry and light cavalry. The knights and horses of the armored cavalry are taller, with a height of 68 cm. Most of the knights wear armor and hold halberds; the knights and horses of the light cavalry are taller. Short, 50 centimeters tall, without armor, holding a crossbow in hand and carrying a quiver on his back. The infantry formed seven square formations, with officers and soldiers with different functions such as team leaders, team history, thousands of soldiers, music soldiers, halberd and spearmen, etc. Their clothes, postures, and expressions were different.
"Three Thousand Horses" has been exhibited in Western Europe, North America, Japan, Singapore and other places, making great contributions to promoting ancient Chinese civilization and promoting cultural exchanges between China and foreign countries.
