Introduction to Xiao Wangzhi’s Tomb: Xiao Wangzhi was a Confucian scholar with a great reputation. He was the Grand Tutor of the Yuan Emperor, one of the three nobles, assisting in government affairs. His eighteenth grandson, Emperor Gao of Qi, Xiao Daocheng, and his nineteenth grandson, Emperor Wu of Liang, Xiao Yan, successively established the Qi and Liang dynasties to maintain Chinese orthodoxy. In the Liu and Song Dynasties of the Southern Dynasty, Xiao Wenshou, a female hero of the Xiao family, was the supreme mother of the country. In the Sui Dynasty, Xiao Xingzi, a descendant of the Xiao family in Lanling, became the queen.
