Introduction to the Crested Ibis: The Crested Ibis, also known as the Ibis, is an extremely rare bird in the world. It is known as the "Oriental Jewel" and is listed as an "Internationally Protected Bird" by the World Bird Association. In the past, it was widely distributed in eastern China, Japan, Russia, North Korea and other places. Zhejiang Province was once the historical distribution area of ​​the Crested Ibis in my country. Due to environmental deterioration and habitat destruction, the Crested Ibis disappeared. In order to rebuild the crested ibis population in Zhejiang, the Zhejiang Provincial Forestry Department launched the "Crrested Ibis Translocation Conservation and Zhejiang Population Reconstruction" project. With Zhejiang University as the technical support, the base is located in the Xiazhu Lake National Wetland Park. The national treasure crested ibis can be seen in all seasons.
