A row of bonsai is placed in front of the statue. Behind the statue is a long wall with an introduction to the life of Comrade Chu Tunan. Chu Tunan is a famous figure in Wenshan Prefecture. His courtesy name is Gaohan and he is of Han nationality. He was born in Wenshan County, Yunnan Province in 1899. CPC member. In 1943, he joined the China Democratic Political League (renamed the China Democratic League in 1944) and served successively as a member and standing committee member of the first Central Committee of the Democratic League, a member of the Standing Committee of the second Central Committee, and vice chairman of the third, fourth, and fifth Central Committees. In January 1986, Acting Chairman Hu Yu passed away, and Chu Tunan was appointed Acting Chairman of the Fifth Central Committee of the Democratic League. In December of the same year, the Third Plenary Session of the Fifth Central Committee of the Democratic League elected Chu Tunan as Chairman of the Fifth Central Committee of the Democratic League. In January 1987, he was elected as the Honorary Chairman of the Fifth Central Committee of the Democratic League by the Fourth Plenary Session of the Fifth Central Committee of the Democratic League. Thereafter, he served as the honorary chairman of the fifth, sixth and seventh Central Committee of the China Democratic League until his death in Beijing on April 11, 1994 at the age of 95.
