Introduction to Wushan Temple: Wushan Temple is located outside Wuling Gate and at the southern foot of Wushan Mountain. Historically, it was a temple worshiped by the five clans of Ren, Song, Jiang, Shan and Zhang in Xikou Town. Later, the Jiang surname multiplied As the most popular surname in the town, the temple changed its name to Jiang as the head of the community, and major celebrations of the Jiang family were held here.
The year when Wushan Temple was built is unknown, but it should be no later than the 55th year of Qianlong’s reign in the Qing Dynasty (1790). The existing building is divided into front and rear, with verandahs on the east and west sides, a patio stage in the middle, and a front porch at the rear. Set up a vivid Panlong stone pillar.
At the end of the Qing Dynasty, Chiang Kai-shek's father was elected as the head of the temple, responsible for the daily management of the temple's properties, and summoned the chiefs of the five surnames to carry out a large-scale expansion of the Wushan Temple, which established the current scale of the Wushan Temple. In the early years of the Republic of China, Wushan Primary School was established in the temple, and Chiang Ching-kuo received his education here when he was young.
