Introduction to Doumen: Doumen is a navigation facility built in the north and south canals of Lingqu. It functions like a modern ship lock and is known as the father of ship locks in the world.
According to the records of "Lingqu Ji" written by Tang Dynasty man Meng Wei, Doumen was founded by Li Bo, the Guiguan observer, in the first year of Baoli (825). It was first made of wood and later made of solid stone. The existing Doumen was renovated or rebuilt in the Qing Dynasty, but its form is still in line with the Tang Dynasty.
