Introduction to the ancient upside-down cypress: Also known as the thousand-year-old upside-down cypress and the thousand-head cypress, it is located on the right side in front of the Patriarch Hall of Lingshan Temple. The cypress is more than 10 meters high. Its body is like a twist, and it is as thick as the top and bottom from stem to tip. The diameter of the tree is about 50 centimeters. The tree has no head and only five branches, forming an umbrella shape. The leaves are similar to native Hinoki cypress. The bark is exhausted and the wood is very brittle. Cypress branches grow in different directions, some downward and some upward. There are hanging threads as thin as needles hanging down from the cypress branches. The length of the hanging wire varies, the long one is about 1 meter, and the short one is about 50 centimeters.
