Introduction to Chen Yonggui’s bedroom: There are two entrances to the cave, one is his bedroom and the other is the kitchen. The one on the west side is open and is obviously a bedroom. There is a small earthen kang next to the window, and there is an ash outlet for a fire pit underneath. The bed on the kang is very simple, it should be his bedclothes back then. On the wall in front of the cave dwelling hangs a large photo, which was taken when Chairman Mao met with Chen Yonggui in 1959. In addition, the other walls of the cave dwelling are covered with photos of Chen Yonggui and the people of Dazhai, and of Chen Yonggui and leaders at all levels who came to Dazhai. These are very precious historical witnesses. The furniture in the cave dwelling is also very simple, all from the 1980s, including the kind of bed cabinet that is common in rural areas. On the window sill of the cave dwelling is an eye-catching old-fashioned telephone. It was a telephone that could broadcast Chairman Mao's live broadcast.
