Introduction to the Jade Palace: The Jade Palace was built in the Song and Yuan Dynasties. King Zhu Di of Yan once camped here. Because he believed in Taoism, he greatly expanded the Jade Palace after he became emperor, making it grand. After the Jade Palace was built, it was dedicated to the Jade Emperor and was worshiped by hundreds of believers from all around. It formed two temple fairs every year and was very popular. It was destroyed by artillery fire during the War of Liberation. Although the walls were ruined, the main hall still remained and the incense continued to spread. The main hall was demolished during the Cultural Revolution. Since then, the Jade Palace has disappeared, and more than 30 stone tablets from various dynasties have been collected by the national cultural relics department. The Jade Palace is now restored and rebuilt for today's people.
