Introduction to Wanfo Cave: There are four caves in Wanfu Temple. They were excavated before the Sui Dynasty. There are statues in the Tang, Song, Jin, Yuan, Ming and Qing dynasties. They are large in scale and were carved out of the mountains. The stone pillars and four walls of the cave are carved with thousands of stone Buddhas of various shapes. The stone carving art is uncanny and ingenious. It is a precious historical and cultural heritage and has been praised and cherished by celebrities and people of insight in the past dynasties. Fan Zhongyan, a great writer and politician, once wrote "Qingliangmanxing", praising him as "carving mountains into stone cosmos, and coveting 10,000 Buddhas. It is also rare in the world, so how can it not survive".
