The base is engraved with six golden characters "Mao Zedong in Yan'an" inscribed by Jiang Zemin. The flower beds on the east and west sides are planted with pine, cypress, peony, rose, locust and other flowers and trees. More than 7,000 square meters of square and lawn were newly expanded in front of the flower bed.
