Introduction to the Bronze Horse: The statue was created and designed by Professor Wang Keqing, Director of Sculpture at the Central Academy of Fine Arts, based on the idea of ​​Guan Wenwei, a veteran of the New Fourth Army. It is represented by a young and heroic New Fourth Army soldier, carrying a broadsword on his back and holding a rein in his hand, riding on a war horse with his front hooves raised high, facing the sun and marching forward, symbolizing the New Fourth Army's eastward advance and opening up an anti-Japanese base behind enemy lines in Central China. The statue is 4 meters high, 3.8 meters long and weighs 3250 kilograms. The base of the tower is made of black granite, with a trapezoidal shape on all sides. The front faces east and is engraved with the inscription written by General Zhang Aiping, the former commander of the Fourth Division of the New Fourth Army, "The Memorial Tower for the Reconstruction of the Military Headquarters of the New Fourth Army." The back faces west and is engraved with an inscription approved by General Zhang Aiping. , handwritten by the late calligrapher Bao Shen.
