Introduction to Dongguan Ancient Ferry: Yangzhou was originally named Wuzhou, and was changed to its current name in the ninth year of Emperor Kaihuang’s reign in the Sui Dynasty (590). In the 7th century, the Grand Canal connecting the north and the south was built. Yangzhou was located at the strategic point of land and water and became one of the centers for material transshipment at that time. After the Anshi Rebellion in the Tang Dynasty, the national economic center moved southward, and Yangzhou's status became increasingly important. It was once the seat of the Governor's Office, the Huainan Jiedushi Envoy, the Huainan Road Interview Envoy, and the Salt and Iron Transfer Envoy. It was also one of the important ports for Sino-foreign transportation at that time. .
